Zanu PF Senator Dumps Wife for Criticizing Ndodana Tshuma Without FACTS

A Harare-based ZANU PF senator has reportedly dumped his wife after she publicly criticised Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, the Zimbabwean-born British national accused of murdering his wife and two young daughters in the United Kingdom.

The woman, who asked Izwi24 News not to reveal her identity to avoid further shame and public mockery, said the marriage collapsed the moment her husband saw her comment on the Izwi24 Facebook page.“I simply wrote what many women were thinking – that no man has the right to take the lives of his own family, no matter the situation,” she said. “When he read it, he became furious. He told me Ndodana did what any ‘real man’ pushed too far would do. He said I do the same things to him that Zandile supposedly did to Tshuma, and that he fully supports Ndodana.

That night he packed my bags and ended the marriage.”According to the wife, her husband – a prominent figure in ZANU PF – compared his own marital grievances directly to Tshuma’s situation, claiming the accused man acted out of frustration caused by a “disrespectful” wife.The shocking development has thrown a spotlight on the deep gender divide the Tshuma case has created in Zimbabwe.

While the majority of women have expressed horror at the alleged triple murder, many Zimbabwean men – judging by reactions and comments on social media – appear to sympathise with Tshuma. Informal analysis of thousands of comments suggests that around 80% of male respondents support his alleged motives, even as they criticise the killing of the innocent children.The senator’s wife said the confrontation left her shaken. “I thought I was married to someone who values family and leadership. Instead, I discovered a man who justifies murder when it suits his narrative. I’m now left picking up the pieces while trying to protect my children from the embarrassment.”

Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma (45) was arrested in Johannesburg last week after fleeing the UK. British police want him extradited on three counts of murder following the deaths of his wife Nothabo Zandile Tshuma (42) and daughters Natalie (15) and Nala (5). He is also facing a firearm possession charge in South Africa, with his case postponed to 22 July.As the extradition battle continues, this latest domestic drama has added a painful personal dimension to a story that continues to divide Zimbabweans along gender lines.
